The letter read: “The Bashundhara Convention Center was declared Covid-19 Dedicated to Coronavirus.
“As the hospital is experiencing a significant drop in the number of coronavirus-infected patients, the government has been asked to close the emergency hospital before September 30 to avoid huge financial losses.”
It is reported that all doctors, nurses and other health workers providing medical services at Bashundhara Hospital will be transferred and transferred or assigned.
The hospital was asked to return 2,031 general beds, 61 ICU beds, 10 ventilators, and all furniture and accessories by September 30.
Following the rise in new coronavirus infections in the country in March, the government has added government hospitals and several private hospitals to treat the disease.
The temporary hospital was inaugurated on May 16 in the empty space in front of the Bashundhara Convention Center in Kurile in the capital. The Minister of Health, Zahid Malek, inaugurated the activities of the hospital the same day.
The temporary hospital structure belongs to the Bashundhara Group. The Department of Health provided doctors, nurses and health workers and other medical equipment.
The government has recently taken the initiative to close 12 hospitals due to a lack of patients, including the Bashundhara Kovid Hospital. Among them, Kovid-19’s medical services at Mahanagar General Hospital, Lalkuthi Hospital and Bashundhara Kovid Hospital were closed on September 16.
