At the same time, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has issued a circular on Wednesday night indicating from which sector the expenses will be provided.
Although it is not yet clear when the educational institutions will open, the ministry has said that classes will soon begin following hygiene regulations considering the educational life of students.
The circular said: “Primary schools in Bangladesh are closed like other schools in the world to control the Kovid-19 epidemic. This has a negative impact on the child’s learning ability, including disruption of classroom activities.
“Especially the longer marginalized students stay out of school, the less likely they are to go back to school. Therefore, it is very important to reopen the school as soon as possible in compliance with hygiene and public health regulations ”.
All educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 16 due to the coronavirus infection. The holiday has been announced until October 3.
The National Advisory Committee on Kovid-19, formed by the government, recently said that the situation is not yet conducive to the opening of educational institutions.
However, after a cabinet meeting a week ago, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said the idea of opening an educational institution was being considered.
However, he said the decision on the matter was left to the ministry in question.
