A Chakriya teenager in Cox’s Bazar was first abducted and then detained for three days in a hotel room in the district town and then raped by two friends. The victim’s home is in South Kakara of Kakara Union.
The girl’s brother filed a case against the two at the Chakaria police station on Wednesday. The police arrested a rapist with the help of the local population. The raped girl has been sent to the OCC of Cox Bazar Sadar Hospital for a medical examination.
The defendants in the case are two rapists, Md. Shefayet Hossain, 22, son of Kamal Uddin and Mohiuddin Prakash Emon, 22, son of Nurul Abchar de Fakirabazar from the same union. Police arrested rapist Shefayet Hossain. Mohiuddin Prakash Emon is on the run. Two rapist friends are easybike (tomtom) drivers by profession.
It was learned that last Thursday (September 18) the 13-year-old girl went for a walk with her boyfriend to her father’s house in the Chakraya municipality. After staying there for three days, on Sunday (September 20) around 11 a.m., as they were returning to their home in Kakara, two friends from Bhangarmukh station picked up the girl and took her to an unknown location.
Later in the afternoon, the girl was taken to the residential hotel Zia Guest Inn in Cox’s Bazar. After being detained for three days, the two friends raped each other. After the girl was taken to the Jiddabazar station in Chakriya, the teenager screamed and the local crowd arrested the rapist Shefayet and reported it to the police.
The Chakaria police inspector said (investigation). Mizanur Rahman told Kaler Kanth that the girl’s brother had brought a case against the two young men. A rapist was arrested with the help of the local population. Attempts are being made to arrest the other rapist.
