Abul Hasan Khan said: I came back with a return ticket. But I still can’t get a ticket. Although I have a ticket token, I have been waiting for the ticket for four days and four nights in front of the Aerolineas office at the Sonargaon Hotel. I still have not received the good news of the tickets.
About six months later, the Saudi authorities recently announced the return of foreign workers by September 30. Then on Sunday (September 20) Saudi Arabian Airlines announced the ticket reissue. Since then, many Saudi expats have settled in the Saudi Airlines office at the Sonargaon Hotel awaiting tickets.
Sharif Khan from Bikrampur says: I have been living here for four days after eating bread and water. But there is no solution. I have cut the return ticket, but why this crisis. It has been an artificially created crisis. Syndicated outside agents took the ticket. Now I say taken online.
Abdul Motaleb of Brahmanbaria. He has lived in Saudi Arabia for 25 years. But back in the country, he never had to be a victim of such a situation. “I don’t know if I can go back this time,” he said. I bought a return ticket, but it still does not deliver a ticket.
Mohammad Sohel, a resident of Kachua upazila in Chandpur, said: “I have been waiting here for so many days, but nobody says anything.” Why am I coming? What am I coming for? He does not ask. Buying our return tickets, but why so much suffering. Tell us something. “My daughter died on Tuesday (September 22), but I couldn’t go home,” he said. I’ve been waiting here for four days.
Mohammad Mohsin Ali, an expat, says his symbolic serial number is 198. But he hasn’t been able to get in since Sunday. It is not allowed to enter according to token. He said Akama’s tenure has ended. I wouldn’t have come if they hadn’t given me a sample.
Meanwhile, expatriates besieged the Ministry of Welfare for Expatriates and Overseas Employment on Wednesday morning demanding that they make the necessary arrangements to return to Saudi Arabia. A five-member delegation of expatriates also met with ministry officials. At that moment, more than a hundred Saudi workers took a position in front of the building.
However, the meeting’s decision is not yet known. The police are located in front of the Ministry of Welfare for Expatriates. At the time of writing this report, at 2.30pm on Wednesday, no expatriates were seen standing in front of the Expatriate Welfare Ministry.
