‘The second wave of coronavirus infection has started in the country. However, the health department, including doctors and nurses, is ready to face the second wave.
This was stated by the Minister of Health Zahid Malek in his inaugural address at the inaugural function of modernization of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMC), quality medical services and expansion of education on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Wednesday (September 23).
The Health Minister said: ‘The second wave of coronavirus infection has started in the country. People leave home in search of life and sustenance. Indifference is noted in following hygiene rules. However, the health department, including doctors and nurses, is ready to face the second wave. He said that in winter there are various ceremonies including weddings and picnics. There is a risk of increased coronary heart disease due to overcrowding. Therefore, we must refrain from organizing these events.
The minister urged people to comply with health regulations and the media to face the second wave of corona.
