Tickler Russell is now in jail on charges of robbing a mobile phone store. He was arrested in the new market area of the Bhatara Police Station in Dhaka on Monday night. Later the police took him to the Chandina police station in Comilla.
Tickler Russell’s full name. Russell Sheikh, 23, is the son of Abdus Samad Sheikh from Madhyabangram village in the Maharajpur junction of Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district. Russell used to make tic-tac videos in Dhaka.
Chandina (SI) Police Station Deputy Inspector Noman said Russell Sheikh, aka Ticktaker Russell, broke the roof of the iron bar of a mobile shop at Golam Rabbani Market on Station Road in Chandina Bazar around 3 pm on July 15. He stole cash, mobile phones and goods worth around Tk 11.61 lakh from the store and went to Dhaka.
Defendant Russell confessed to the robbery and testified in court in Comilla on Tuesday. The court later ordered that he be sent to jail.
