Meanwhile, his wife was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
Pannalal takes his wife and five daughters to Nekpur, in the area of the Bareilly Civil Line Police Station. On Saturday night, Pannalal cut off his wife’s abdomen and tried to see if the child was going to be a boy or a girl. Pannalal’s wife was seriously injured in the incident.
According to the police, the locals arrived there immediately after the incident. They were shocked to see this incident. The woman was immediately taken to the local hospital. From there he was sent to Bareilly Hospital. He is admitted there in critical condition.
Upon receiving the news, the woman’s relatives went to the hospital. They complained that Pannalal used to treat his wife very badly after having five daughters in a row. A senior police official, Praveen Singh Chauhan, said that an FIR had been placed in Pannalal’s name after the incident. The police arrested him. Police are investigating whether Pannalal was only trying to find out the boy’s gender or if there was some other motive behind this act.
The girl is said to be 6 to 7 months pregnant. She is in critical condition in the hospital at the moment.
