Bangladesh wants to know Saudi update

The Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has yet to revoke the permit to operate the Arabia-Dhaka route. However, Bebichak wanted to know two things from Saudi Arabia about flight management.

On Monday night, Bebichak chairman Mofidur Rahman’s deputy air marshal told Jago News that Saudi Airlines could operate two flights a week. That permission was not revoked. However, they have been asked to provide two pieces of information about flight management. If that information is known, the next flight decision will be reported.

The sources said that following the decision to reopen, the Saudi government has decided to close all commercial flights until December. For this reason, they did not allow Biman Bangladesh to operate the flight. Therefore, two pieces of information have been “officially” requested from Saudi Arabia on behalf of Bebichak. The first is if they have decided to stop operating commercial flights until December. And if you have not made that decision, why was Biman Bangladesh not allowed to operate flights to that country?

According to Bebichak, Bebichak will make the final decision on the operation of the Saudi Airlines flight within a few days after hearing the response from Saudi Arabia.

Previously, the Saudi government decided to open a limited airspace from the third week of September. Shortly after, Biman Bangladesh announced the flight schedule.

They announced to operate one flight a week (Sunday) on the Dhaka-Jeddah-Chittagong route, three flights a week on the Dhaka-Dammam-Dhaka route, Dhaka-Riyadh-Dhaka every Monday and Thursday and one flight a week on the Dhaka-Jeddah-Dhaka route. Later, Biman stopped selling tickets because he did not get permission from the Saudi government.

Meanwhile, Saudia was allowed to operate two flights a week on the Dhaka route from 23 September. However, an inter-ministerial meeting on Sunday discussed the cancellation of the Saudi flight. Bebichak will inform you of this within 2 to 1 days.
