Another new mosque will be built in Ayodhya, India, in place of the Babri mosque. However, this mosque will be built in a different style, not the conventional style.
Atahar Hussain, secretary and spokesman for the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation Trust, which is in charge of building the mosque, said so.
In an interview with the Indian news agency PTI on Sunday, he said that the mosque would be built outside of the traditional style. In that case, it could be built in the style of the Holy Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Atahar Hussain said: ‘This mosque will be built with 15,000 square feet of space. The size of Babri Masjid was also like this. It can be square shaped like a cabaret. However, all confidence is still at the bargaining level. Nothing definitive happened.
Just as the Kaaba Sharif does not have a round head or dome, the Ayodhya Mosque can too. The trust architect said that the architect has been given complete freedom in this regard.
Atahar Hussain said: ‘The mosque will not bear the name of Babri. It will not be in the name of any other king or maharaja. I personally want it to be called Dhannipur Mosque. ‘
Museums, hospitals and research centers will be set up within the mosque complex, Athar Hussain said. The foundation is working to create its own website to collect donations for this.
On November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court of India announced the verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi case.
The verdict said that the Ram temple would be built on the 2.6 acres of disputed land in Ayodhya. And in any other major location, 5 acres of land will be allocated for mosques.
The court also assigned two separate Hindu and Muslim organizations to build temples and mosques.
The Sunni Central Waqf Board of Uttar Pradesh formed the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation Trust to build the mosque on the order of the Supreme Court.
Construction of the Ram Temple began in August on the site of the historic Babri Masjid. Preparations were made to build a mosque in Dhannipur in Ayodhya, about 25 km from here. Currently, preparations are underway to build a 15,000-square-foot mosque there. Source: NDTV, Times of India
