Earlier this year, on the night of January 5, after getting off a college bus at the Kurmitola bus stop in Dhaka, the girl was raped while holding her face behind a roadside bush. The young woman fell unconscious at that moment.

After regaining consciousness, he went to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. Later, her father presented a case to the cantonment station.

Dhaka University was shaken by the rape incident of a female student. Different organizations also run various programs.

Majnu was arrested in Gazipur on January 7 after hearing the girl’s narration. On January 17, he made a confessional statement in court.

Majnu (30) from Hatia, Noakhali came to Dhaka a decade ago in search of a livelihood. He is a ‘serial rapist’.

Two months later, on March 16, the investigating officer in the case, DB Inspector Abu Bakar Siddique, filed a charge sheet in court. Only Majnu was charged. 17 people were summoned as state witnesses. 20 posters including the victim’s clothes and mobile phone were handed over to the court.

The charges were brought against Majnoor in a virtual hearing on August 28. Tidani later claimed his innocence.
