The investigating officer said: “In addition to tracking Rabiul’s mobile phone, he was arrested after checking his fingerprints. According to the information provided by him, the hammer used in the attack was recovered from the pond of Ghoraghat Upazila Parishad.
“Previously, the court took statements from five people under section 164 as witnesses to Rabiul’s visit to Ghoraghat and his location there.”
Witnesses include Murad, a Dinajpur tavern clerk, Ainul, a bicycle garage owner Siraj, a grocer from Osmanpur in Ghoraghat, a man named Khokon Ali, and a 10-year-old boy, the investigating officer said. .
RAB-13 captain Reza Ahmed Ferdous, who arrested three people two days after the incident, attended a press conference in Rangpur and said that Asadul (35) had entered the house to rob. His associates were Nabirul Islam (34) and Santu Kumar Biswas (28).
