Testimony against Majnoor, the sole defendant in the Dhaka University (DU) student rape case, has begun. When Majnu was taken from the court to jail after taking the evidence, he cried and said, ‘I will not go. I’ll go with my mother. ‘
The victim’s father testified in the court of Judge Mosammat Kamrunnahar of Dhaka’s 6th Suppression of Abuse of Women and Children Court on Sunday. While taking evidence, the prison authorities took Majnu to court. The testimony took place in his presence. Majnu began to cry on the court premises when he was taken back to jail after taking evidence. Majnu, crying, said: ‘I will not go. I’ll go with my mother. ‘
Majnu lay down on the ground crying. At that time, the police arrested him and took him from court to jail.
