Wahida Khanam, Upazila Nirbahi (UN) Officer from Ghoraghat in Dinajpur, who was seriously injured in the attack, has been appointed Special Officer in Charge (OSD) in the Ministry of Public Administration. On the other hand, her husband, UNO Mejbaul Hossain from Pirganj in Rangpur, has been transferred to the Department of Health Services of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Last Wednesday, the Internal Procurement Directorate of the Ministry of Public Administrations issued a notification for the transfer of the two.
According to the Ministry of Public Administration, Wahida Khanum needs long-term treatment. For this reason, he has not been assigned at the moment and has been appointed special officer in charge. Family support is especially necessary to take care of him. Considering these problems, both have been brought to Dhaka.
UNO Wahida Khanam and her father Omar Ali were seriously injured in a terrorist attack on a government residence at Ghoraghat in Dinajpur late on 2 September. After receiving first aid locally, Waheeda was airlifted to the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital in Dhaka on September 3. Her father was also taken to the same hospital. At present, the condition of these two is known to be stable.
