The Corona epidemic has taken so much joy from us. Durga Puja’s joy may be the foundation this time. Yet what else can be found in the midst of it as much as the joy of “collecting”? The joy of buying new clothes for worship is different. The smell of new clothes goes hand in hand with the smell of worship.
Actress and social worker Rafiat Rashid Mithila spoke with Indian media G-News about the Puja purchases. In the marriage formula, she is the recreated housewife. Mithila told herself what she had bought for worship and how she intended to spend it.
“It is not my first bid, however,” Mithila said. Last year I was here for 2 or 3 days of worship. But yes, this is my first service after marriage. (Laughs) This time all the bidding will be here. Now, such a situation is not something I can plan for Pujo. I keep buying little by little. Buying gifts for everyone. I get a lot. (Laughs) Didi gave the gift (Srijit’s sister), Mao gave it (mother-in-law). I receive gifts in episodes. (Laughs) Mom gave me a salwar kameez now. We will visit Santiniketan. I decided to do some shopping there. I really like the Santiniketan saree, I told my mother.
Mithila further said that Srijit will give me the special gift of Puja. It was ordered in Bangladesh. I wear very jamdani. I have a designer, I bought a lot of jamdani from there. He is doing. Hope to get it before bidding. I didn’t buy anything for myself. I bought an Alexa for my mother. Mom loves listening to music, playing mushrooms herself.
And sister, I bought a gift for my niece. I have brought Punjabi clothing from Bangladesh as a special gift for the birth of Srijit. We both really like Sukumar Roy. I have a sari written by Sukumar Roy, a Punjabi made from the same fabric. It is made to order.
