A court has detained eight Titas officials and employees arrested in a case brought by the police in connection with the explosion of a mosque in Narayanganj for two days.
On Saturday afternoon, the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) requested a five-day pre-trial detention in the High Judicial Magistrate Kauser Alam court. After the hearing, the court ordered it for two days.

Narayanganj court police inspector Asaduzzaman confirmed the information to The Daily Star and said the defendant had been taken into police custody.
Earlier this morning, CID arrested six officers and employees of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited in the Narayanganj Fatulla area of different areas of Fatulla in connection with the explosion at the mosque.
At least 33 people were killed in an explosion at the Baitus Salat Jame mosque in Narayanganj Sadar Upazila on the night of September 4.
