Wahida Khanam, an officer of Upazila Nirbahi (UNO) from Ghoraghat in Dinajpur, who was seriously injured in the terrorist attack and is being treated in hospital, has been appointed Special Officer in Charge (OSD).
At the same time, said her husband Pirpur UNO. Mejbaul Hossain has been transferred to the Department of Health Services of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The transfer was ordered by the Ministry of Public Function on Wednesday (September 18).
Earlier, UNO Wahida Khanam and her father Omar Ali were seriously injured in a terrorist attack on a government residence at Ghoraghat in Dinajpur in the middle of the night on September 2. Wahida Khanum received a blow to the head with a hammer. He was first admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. Later, a clinic in Rangpur was transferred to the ICU. From there, Wahida Khanam was airlifted to the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital in Dhaka on September 3 at noon.
On the night of September 3, he underwent surgery on his head. Doctors said his condition was slowly improving. Wahida Khanam’s father is also being treated at Dhaka Hospital and Neuroscience.
