Four months after his death, the Ministry of Education has transferred a deceased teacher. And this haunted transfer has drawn criticism. Shams Ara Jahan was an adjunct professor in the BCS General Education Board and in the Department of Botany. He died of cancer on May 12, 2020. Approximately four months after his death, he was transferred to the position of assistant professor (botany) at Sadarpur Government College, Faridpur last Thursday. But while he was ill, Sams Ara Jahan was assigned to the Department of Secondary and Upper Secondary. The transfer of the deceased teacher has caused surprise and outrage among education officials. Her husband, government official Md Mahbubul Alam, expressed frustration with the order even after informing the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) in writing about his wife’s death.

The same memorandum is known to have been transferred from Sams Ara Ara to another assistant professor (Geography), Nigar Sultana Parveen. The officer, who has OSD at Mausi, was transferred to the position of Assistant Professor (Geography) at Government Rajendra College, Faridpur. It is known that this official has permission from the Ministry of Education to do a doctorate in delegation. Although there is no transfer rule since the deputation has been granted, it has been transferred.

However, no statement was received from the relevant section of the Ministry of Education in this regard.
