Three young men were killed in a bus and motorcycle collision in Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj. The accident took place on the Dhaka-Khulna Expressway around 10:00 p.m. on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Faisal Sardar, 28, son of Anu Sardar from Chandibardi village in Muksudpur upazila, Al Amin Tagore, 25, son of Billal Tagore from Sundardi village and Liakat Mia, 30, son of Shafi Mia from Lakhairchar village.

Muksudpur (OC) Police Officer in Charge Shaker Mohammad Jubayer said that three young men, Faisal Sardar, Al Amin Tagore and Liaquat Mia, were heading to Muksudpur gas station on a motorcycle on Friday night. On the way, the motorcycle collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound Golden Line bus at the Muksudpur College junction. At that moment the motorcycle got under the bus. The three passengers, including a motorcycle, got stuck in the front of the bus and fell half a kilometer away. Of the three, Al Amin Tagore died on the spot, Faisal died after being taken to the Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex and Liaquat died on the way to Faridpur for better treatment.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle caught fire after the bus crossed a mile and a half from the scene at the time of the accident. Then he spread the fire on the bus. However, the passengers got off the bus without problems. No casualties were reported on the bus.

Upon receiving the news, a unit from the Muksudpur Fire Service rushed to the scene and controlled the fire. However, the inside of the bus burned down.

OC Shaker Mohammad further said that the Bhanga Highway Police Station police recovered the bodies of the deceased and handed them over to their families.
