In a message of condolence on Friday, he said that Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, the eminent scholar of Hefazat-e-Islam, was rushed to a hospital in Dhaka from Chittagong Medical College Hospital for better treatment on Friday afternoon. and died at 6:20 pm (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). I am deeply saddened by his death.
In his message of condolence, he further said that Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi was the favorite rabbi of the Alem-Ulama and Tawhidi people. His death has cast a shadow of mourning among the people of the country who love Islam. He has served Islam all his life. He has played a key role in spreading Islamic teachings in the country. He is the teacher of many scholars. The people of this country will reverently remember him for centuries for his service to the religion of knowledge. After studying at Deoband Madrasa, Shah Ahmad Shafi came to Bangladesh from India as a representative of Allama Madani and was appointed a professor at Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Uloom Muinul Islam Hathazari Madrasa in Chittagong. Then in 1408 AH he became CEO. More recently, he has served as the general director of the madrasa and also as Shaykhul Hadith. It has played a role in the creation of millions of academics in Bengal. He has written more than 40 books on various aspects of Islam in Bengali and Urdu.
On the other hand, he was a respected person regardless of his party affiliation. He has played an active role against the spread of Islam and the Islamic movement in the country, the unification of the German community and all anti-Islamic activities. He was inflexible in the defense of Islam, the independence of the country and the rights of the people. In India, he has led protests against the demolition of the Babri Masjid, the construction of the Farakka dam, the movement against Islam’s insult by Taslima Nasreen, the protest against the enactment of anti-fatwa laws by the government and the anti-fatwa movement. -atheism. By establishing Hefazat-e-Islam, he united the academic community and ordinary people and created an intense mass movement that, by the grace of God, stopped the boasting of atheism.
