Chittagong: The husband attacked his wife and seriously injured her due to a family dispute. He tried to inform his relatives about this by phone.
He later called the 999 police emergency service and reported the incident.
Police rushed to the scene and sent the victim to hospital. But the woman died in broad daylight on Thursday (September 18). Later, the police arrested the killer’s husband.
The incident took place in the small Dhemsha Maijpara area of Satkania.
The deceased was identified as Nusrat Sharmin Rini, 30. Her husband Abdur Rahim (30) is the son of Ranju Miah from the northern Dhemsha area of Satkania.
Said the Satkania Police Officer in Charge (OC). Anwar Hossain told banglanews that her husband Abdur Rahim attacked his wife and seriously injured her due to a family dispute. He called himself and tried to inform his relatives. He later called the 999 police emergency service and reported the incident. The police rescued the victim Nusrat Sharmin Rini and sent him to the hospital where he died.
The OC said that the murderer Abdur Rahim has been arrested. The case is pending.
