Amir Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi of Hifazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has resigned from the post of general manager or muhtamim of Al Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Uloom Moinul Islam Hathazari (great madrasa) in Chittagong. Meanwhile, Maulana Anas Madani, the son of Allama Ahmad Shafi, has been permanently expelled from the madrasa.

The Madrasa Shura Committee said after Thursday night’s meeting that the Shura Committee would decide the next Muhtamim. Previously, madrasa students held various programs that included demonstrations demanding five points over two days.

Meanwhile, the madrasa has been declared closed due to violation of social distance rules. The order was issued in a notification from the Ministry of Education on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, a circular signed by Syed Asghar Ali, deputy secretary of the madrasa and technical education department of the education ministry, said on Thursday that permission was granted on August 24 to start the activities of the Qawmi madrasas book department and take exams. subject to certain conditions.
