No power in the world can stop the Indian army from patrolling the Ladakh border, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told Parliament. He made the remarks in parliament on Thursday in response to a question from the opposition about the conflict with China.

Opponents allege that China is blocking surveillance of Indian-held military posts along the Royal Line of Control in Ladakh.

Speaking at the Rajya Sabha about the Indochina conflict, the defense minister said that the Indian army would continue to patrol the eastern part of Ladakh that has become the epicenter of the conflict. Rajnath made the comments while responding to allegations made by opposition MP and former Defense Minister AK Antony.

Rajnath said: “There is a clear explanation of how to patrol and it has been happening year after year.” No power in the world can stop the surveillance of the Indian army.

Rajnath added that the matter is very delicate and cannot be developed further as it involves strategic information. Although Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu asked Rajnath to convene a separate meeting with a few selected MPs to provide some more details.
