Government job ads were closed for a long time due to the coronavirus. The government is giving job seekers the opportunity to make up this time. However, not everyone will have the opportunity. Only those applicants for government jobs who obtained authorization for a job advertisement before March 25 of this year, but were unable to post the advertisement due to the start of the holiday period, will get the age exemption.

Those who meet the conditions and apply in the corresponding hiring notice, will have the opportunity of age exemption. In other words, for those draft notifications, those who were 30 years old as of March 25, 2020 can apply for those government appointments.

The Ministry of Public Administrations sent the conditional proposal to the Prime Minister last week. The decision will be officially announced after receiving instructions from the Prime Minister’s Office. Multiple sources responsible for the Ministry of Public Administrations have confirmed this information to Kaler Kantha. They say the opportunity will not apply to organizations that have not obtained permission to post ads.

By mentioning the reason, said an official from the rules division of the Ministry of Public Administration, it became a very complicated subject. Boundaries must be drawn from one place or another. So, for those who have not taken any initiative to publish the notification, it does not seem logical to give this opportunity. Many things have stopped because of Kavid. None of this can be recovered. Therefore, it seems reasonable to reserve this opportunity only for those institutions that have obtained authorization for notification. And there is a risk of chaos if this opportunity is kept open to all.

According to another ministry source, the proposal has been sent from the ministry to the prime minister. Only if the Prime Minister gives new instructions in this regard, can it be changed. Otherwise, this proposal will remain in effect. State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain told Kaler Kantha on Wednesday: The matter will be officially announced soon.

Laisur Rahman, Additional Secretary, Rules Division, Ministry of Public Administration, told Kaler Kantha on Tuesday, “This is an opportunity for those who were ready to publish the notice before March 25th. As far as I can remember, we sent such a proposal. The final decision rests with the Honorable Prime Minister. So nothing can be said about the final decision at this point.

According to the Ministry of Public Administration, the age exemption mentioned for BCS candidates will be of no use. The BCS recruitment request is generally submitted to PSC in October-November. Therefore, there is no expectation of age exemption in the event of the next BCS recruitment. President of the Public Service Commission (PSC). Mohammad Sadiq told Kaler Kantha on Tuesday: “I cannot say with certainty if we had any recruitment notification before March 25. We will follow the decision that will come from the government’s policy-making stage in this regard.

Due to the coronavirus, the government had announced a general holiday for more than two months in a row from March 26 to May 31. After that, the country is gradually moving towards normal activities. On September 1, the government decided to carry out normal activities in everything except educational institutions. This decision is still valid.
