MUMBAI : Former Deputy Shiromani Akali Dal Manjinder Singh Sirsa has filed a petition with the Central Narcotics Control Board (NCB) requesting an investigation into allegations of organizing a drug party at Karan Johar’s home.

In 2019, at a party held at Karan Johar’s house, there was an agreement for the free use of drugs. The former deputy has recently made such a complaint by publishing a video clip of that party. After meeting with NCB boss Rakesh Saxena and making the accusation, Sirsa shared a copy of his appeal to the board on social media.

The screenshot attached to his letter suggests that he was against Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal, Malaika Aurora, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Shahid Kapoor for allegedly consuming, storing, and inviting NCB to investigate the crime at home. The petition was presented by the former deputy. Sirsa has claimed that there was a lot of drug use at that party.

No one at the party at his house used drugs, Karan Johar had said earlier. He argues: ‘Successful members of the industry chatted and chatted overnight after working hard all week. I voluntarily recorded the video myself. If something illegal happens, then I’m not stupid enough to reveal it.

When asked about excerpts from the video, he explained: Apparently it is not appropriate to carry a mobile phone in your back pocket. Apparently, the flash of light may look like dust.

Karan said: ‘My mother was there five minutes before the video was recorded. It was a happy, social, family gathering place where friends spent time talking and listening to music. Nothing else happened there.

So far, the OCN has arrested 20 people in connection with the murder case of Sushant Singh Rajput. The NCB took this step based on multiple mobile phone chat logs related to drug use, collection and trafficking related to the actor’s death following formal discussions with the Directorate of Enforcement.
