Jabale Nur Qaumi Madrasa Md. Ibrahim Hossain pleaded guilty. Dhaka’s Senior Judicial Magistrate Rajib Hasan recorded his statement on Wednesday.

Earlier, the investigating officer for the case, SI Tumpa Saha from the Ashulia Police Station, introduced the accused Ibrahim Hossain in court. At that time, the accused voluntarily agreed to give a confessional statement and the investigator requested to record it.

The court recorded the statement in response to the request. Then he ordered that he be sent to jail.

The defendant’s attorney requested bail in court. Another Dhaka Senior Judge, Monica Khanam, dismissed the request for bail after a hearing.

Ibrahim Hossain was arrested at Madhupur Madrasa, Sreepur in Ashulia on Monday evening.

On the night of September 11, teacher Hafeez Mohammad Ibrahim beat two Rakib Hossain and Mahfuzur Fuad, two 10-year-old students from Hefz’s department in Qawmi Madrasa. When images of the beating went viral on Facebook, there was a storm of criticism. Rakib’s father, Imdadul Islam, brought the case to the Ashulia Police Station on September 15.
