In the Kabirpur area of Dhaka’s Savar upazila, a university student named Habibul Bashar Joy was beaten by his boyfriend and thrown off the bus by his girlfriend. The incident took place at noon on September 11. The groom died at Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital on Tuesday night.
It is known that the lover got angry because there was a breakup about love and hit the lover and left him on the side of the road. He was later rescued by the locals and admitted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Nilufa Yasmin Jhumur, a 10th-class student at Kabirpur Anjana Model High School, had a love affair with Habibul Bashar Joy (20) for almost two years. After a while, their relationship deteriorated and Jhumur began abusing her boyfriend Joy. At one point, on September 11, around 12 noon, Jhumur called Joy at the Kabirpur bus stop.
Later, Sajib Hossain, 24, from Jangaliapara in Kaliakair upazila, an associate of Jhumur, brought a bus with three or four associates to go to the meeting, tactfully picked up Joy, and took him to Nabinagar. On the way, Joy was beaten and around 12:20 in the Tentuibari area below the Kashimpur Police Station on the Dhaka-Tangail road, lover Jhumur, Sajib and three or four unidentified people threw Joy for the bus window. Then they stopped the bus and fled. Joy suffered injuries to various parts of her body and suffered serious head injuries. He was later detained by the locals and admitted to the nearby Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital.
Seeing the severity of the condition, Joy was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and quickly underwent brain surgery. Joy died in the hospital around 1 a.m. yesterday.
When Joy’s relatives informed the Kashimpur police about this, they visited the hospital, prepared an investigation report and sent the body to the morgue for autopsy.
Relatives of the deceased and the locals have demanded a proper investigation into the incident and bring the accused to law.
