The body of Taizul Islam in the hospital
Kishoreganj: A young man named Taizul Islam (35) was killed in a cutting weapon attack at Hossainpur in Kishoreganj.
The incident took place in Hajipur Bazar of upazila on Tuesday (September 15) evening.
The deceased was identified as Taizul from the Garhmachua-Namapara village of the Upazila. Son of Mahtab Uddin.
According to local sources, Shamim (Taizul’s nephew) had a fight with Parvez from Hajipur Bazar at night over the collection of fees. At one point, Parvez and his men began beating Shamim. At that time, when Shamim’s uncle, Taizul, who was returning from abroad, showed up, some of them and others were stabbed to death with sharp domestic weapons and seriously wounded by the opponent Parvez and his men. After rescuing the wounded, they were taken to the Hossainpur Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty pronounced Taizul dead.
The wounded Aminul Islam (40), Jalal Uddin (40) and Shamim (25) have been transferred to Kishoreganj Sadar hospital and other hospitals for better treatment.
The Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Hossainpur Police Station, Sheikh Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, told banglanews that the body of the deceased had been sent to the Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
