Facebook’s new trending avatar
Dhaka: ‘Avatar’ has become a new trend on Facebook. You may have seen most of the Facebook friends list users uploading ‘Avatar’ images today.
Facebook says it allows users to express their feelings and reactions more directly and easily to other friends.
According to a CNN report, the Avatar feature was first released on Apple iOS operating systems in some countries around the world on an experimental basis last year. IOS was launched in the United States in May of this year. Fiji Simi, then head of Facebook’s apps division, said in a post that most of the exchanges now take place online. So now more than ever, it’s important for users to be able to respond in person.
However, recently the feature was launched around the world by connecting the Android platform with it. And the feature for Facebook users in Bangladesh came much later.
Abdullah Al Jaber, director of Cyber71 and technology analyst at Hridoy, told banglanews that it is basically a kind of ’emoji’ creation platform, an artificial image processing platform. This can be done by matching the human appearance. Until now it could be done through various third-party applications. However, there were risks to the security of users’ information. It is quite possible that Facebook introduced this avatar feature to fix this problem.
Abdullah Hridoy added that it was even earlier, in a limited way. But recently it has been exhibited all over the world. Users in Bangladesh have been receiving it for three more days. After the release of that feature, it takes time for all clients to deploy. So nowadays it has become quite exaggerated and it has become a trend.
By analyzing the function, it can be seen that Avatar works according to the Snapchat bit-mozi. Avatars created with your own images can also be used as emoji later. As a result, Avatar images can be uploaded to the timeline, as well as shared in comments and messengers.
To create your own avatar, you need to click on the icon with three parallel lines at the top right of the Facebook application. Avatar can be found there under the ‘See more’ option. Those who have not yet reached the application can also do so with the link below the avatar image posted by others. If you go to the avatar option, Facebook has the opportunity to create various options and functions to create your own avatar.
