This year’s JSC and JDC exams will not be done to prevent coronavirus infection. However, students will be approved in the ninth class by evaluation in their respective institutions.
Letters were sent to all public and private schools on Tuesday. The directive was signed by the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (Maushi) on Monday.
In the letter, Mausi instructed schools to take the steps necessary to pass the ninth grade by assessing students in their own way. However, the department did not inform the schools about how the students would be tested and moved to the next class.
Meanwhile, due to the ongoing epidemic, the Department of Elementary Education (DPE) is considering issuing passing certificates to students without final exams in Class V in 2020. However, this year’s certificate will not have any qualification or GPA number.
All educational institutions in the country have been closed since March 16 due to the current Corona epidemic. In this situation, this year the final exam for the fifth class is not organized. If it is not possible to open the educational institution for next November, the waiting certificate will be delivered to the registered candidates waiting for the fifth class.
However, those certificates will not mention any GPA or grade point. The certificate will only have passed text. With that, students can be admitted to sixth class.
It is worth mentioning that after the first crown patient was identified on March 6 in Bangladesh, the educational institution has been closed since March 16. The government has announced a holiday until October 3. However, online teaching continues. Students wait to see when the educational institution will open.
