Abdullah Al Mamun said police recovered Lovely’s body from the cockpit of the MV Parabat-11 bound for Barisal from Dhaka on Monday. The alleged killer who was with the woman was identified by looking at CCTV footage, but has not yet been arrested.

According to Selim, the launch supervisor, a Sadarghat man with the woman climbed into single cabin number 391 on the third deck of the Parabat-11 motorboat with him at 6.31pm on Sunday. Kamrul has been named on the launch record. When the boat anchored in the river port of Barisal at 4:48 a.m. Monday, the man with the woman rushed down with the dead woman’s bag, mask and scarf.

He had a mask on his face. The cabin crew yelled at the woman in the cabin not to get out even after the other passengers got out. But without getting a response, he informed the naval police. The police went and saw the woman’s body.
