The JSC-JDC exams will not be held this year due to corona. For this reason, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education has directed the candidates of JSC and JDC to pass the ninth class by evaluating their own institutions.
The directive, signed on Monday (September 14), was issued on Tuesday (September 15).
On September 1, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education sent a letter to the Secretary of Technical Education and Madrasa, the Director General of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education and the Presidents of all boards of education.
Following that letter, the Dhaka Board on September 2 instructed the heads of educational institutions to promote students to grade 9 based on their own evaluation through their respective educational institutions.
In a letter issued by the Dhaka Board of Education on September 2, it was said that considering the general situation due to the coronavirus infection, students will be promoted to the 9th grade through their own educational institutions without taking the exams. Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Entry Certificate (JDC) in 2020. Heads of educational institutions will be instructed in due course on what to do next.
