The United States Embassy in Dhaka has begun accepting applications for certain categories of nonimmigrant visas. As a result, those interested in moving to the United States, including students, can now apply. The U.S. embassy is also accepting renewal applications for various visa categories.

The embassy said it will process F, J, M, O, Q, C1 / D visa applications for visa renewal.

To qualify for a visa renewal without an interview, the application must be in the same category as the previous visa and must be applied for within 24 months of the expiration of the previous visa.
After receiving the application from the embassy, the consular officer will review it and determine if the applicant needs an interview. Those who need an interview will be able to take time out for an interview once the regular visa process is introduced.

The United States Embassy is accepting visa renewal applications for the following categories:
C1 / D: Transit / Navigation Sailor or Crew
F1: Students who are studying and want to renew their student visa. This will only apply to those who want to renew their visa with the purpose of going to the same educational institution to study the previous subject. It will not apply to students who are willing to study at a new educational institution and / or a new subject, or who need an interview for any reason.
F2: Spouses of F1 students and / or unmarried children under 21 years of age.
J: Exchange visitor visa (interns, fellows, teachers, camp counselors, summer work visas in exchange for accommodation and work under equal conditions, which are not included in 10014 declared by the President).
M: Student – Vocational or Vocational.
Or: Foreigners who have outstanding skills in science, industry-culture, education, business or sports.
Q: Exchange visitors: international culture.
