Three people, including a wife and owner, were killed by their husbands during a family dispute in Shibpur, Narsingdi. Two others were injured at the time. The incident took place in the village of Kumradi in Shibpur upazila on Sunday morning.

Shibpur Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abul Kalam confirmed the information. The deceased were identified as Nazma Begum, 40, wife of Badal Miah, a carpenter from Kumradi village, Tajul Islam, 55, and his wife Monowara Begum, 45.

Police and relatives of the victims said that Badal Mia, a carpenter from the Pakundia area of ​​Kishoreganj, married Nazma Begum, an abandoned husband from the Dulalpur area of ​​Shibpur, 8/9 years ago. They had been living in a rented house from Tajul Islam in Kumradi village since their marriage. A fight broke out between his wife Nazma Begum and her husband Badal Miah around 4:30 a.m. Sunday over a family fight. At one point, Badal attacked and wounded his wife Nazma Begum and a son from their previous family.

Hearing their screams, the owner of the Tajul Islam house, his wife Monowara Begum and their daughter Kulsum Begum approached and shot them dead. Locals rescued the wounded and took them to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, where doctors on duty declared Nazma and Monowara Begum dead. Tajul Islam, the owner of the house, died in critical condition on the way to Dhaka Medical College.

The locals arrested the accused husband and carpenter Badal Mia and handed him over to the police after beating him. Upon receiving the news, the police visited the scene.
