Nusrat Jahan Noha, a third grader from Khajuria village in the Bagdha junction of Agailjhara upazila of Barisal, has refused to admit that his mother has committed suicide. The villagers disagree.
Nusrat’s grandmother, Taslima, alleged that Satma Jhumur Begum had committed suicide by planning to kill her for the property. The subject of suicide is a mystery to the villagers. They allege that the boy was premeditatedly killed. Demand disclosure of true secret subject to proper investigation.
Nusrat Jahan’s father said. Sumon Mia, 35, mentioned in the case that her teacher scolded her and spanked her for failing the test. In that humiliation, Nusrat committed suicide.
“My daughter Nusrat Jahan did not commit suicide,” said Tania Akhter, 30, mother of schoolgirl Nusrat Jahan. My daughter was killed by her stepmother Jhumur Begum and her father in a premeditated manner by hanging her body and calling it suicide.
Nusrat’s grandmother, Taslima Begum, 50, complained that Nusrat’s grandfather, Abdur Rahim, came to her home last Sunday and said that he (Dada) would grant his land in Nusrat’s name in a few days. She informed her son Sumon and Nusrat’s stepmother, Jhumur. Nusrat did not commit suicide, Satma Jhumur Begum committed suicide by plotting to strip him of his property.
Nusrat’s grandfather, Abdul Rahim Mia, said: “I decided to cancel my property in Nusrat’s name.” I went to that house (Nusrat’s grandmother’s house) on Sunday morning and said this. When asked about the cause of Nusrat’s death, he said: “Allah sees everything, He will judge.”
Nusrat’s stepmother, Jhumur, said: “Nusrat unknowingly committed suicide by hanging.” Nusrat was a good girl.

Agailjhara OC police said. Afzal Hossain said a case has been brought against the teacher in the incident. We have a mission to arrest the accused.
