US President Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. He revealed this on Wednesday.
Norwegian MP Christian Tybring Zedde nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Trump tweeted to thank him. He nominated Trump as a mediator in a historic and excellent agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Tibring Zed told AFP.
Jade is a member of the right-wing, anti-immigration Progress Party. In early 2016, she proposed Trump’s name for a peace deal with North Korea. But Trump did not win the Nobel Peace Prize that year. Because he could not make any peace agreement with North Korea.
Hundreds of people are nominated for the Nobel Prize each year. But even if they are nominated, there is no guarantee that they will win the award.
Trump deserves the award of any previous Nobel Prize for his role in overcoming the impasse with Israel and the powerful Arab region, says Tibring Zedde.
He said the Nobel Committee should not be swayed by Trump’s controversial split.
He added that no one cares about the personalities of Nobel laureates in everything from literature to chemistry. No one with personality wins this award. Rather, consider what you have done to bring peace to the world. The Nobel Institute does not typically comment on nominations. They also did not comment on Trump’s nomination.
