Nomination forms are being distributed to BNP candidates in the Dhaka-5, Naogaon-6, Dhaka-18 and Sirajganj-1 by-elections starting Thursday (September 10).
Interested candidates can collect and submit party nomination forms at the central office in Nayapaltan from 10 am today until 5 pm tomorrow. Candidates will be interviewed in the Gulshan office of the BNP president on Saturday at 5pm. The party’s parliamentary board will finalize the candidates the same night.
Earlier, at a meeting of the parliamentary board on August 29, Habibur Rahman Habib was nominated as the party’s candidate in the Pabna-4 constituency by-elections. According to the announcement of the Electoral Commission, the vote in the electoral district of Pabna-4 will take place on September 28. Voting for the Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 constituencies will take place on October 18. The last date for submission of the nomination forms for these two positions is September 18 and verification and selection will be September 20.
The last date for picking up nomination papers is September 28 and symbol assignment is September 28. Furthermore, the schedule for by-elections in Sirajganj-1 and Dhaka-17 constituencies has not yet been announced.
