A guideline has been issued to keep educational institutions clean so that schools will not have difficulty opening if the coronavirus situation is normal. The Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education, Zakir Hossain, told reporters in his office on Wednesday.

The Minister of State said that the rector and the authorities of educational institutions have been instructed to review the health risks that may arise among students if educational institutions are opened in the existing situation.

Earlier, a directive issued by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Tuesday read: “Guidelines have been formulated to reopen the school in accordance with hygiene and public health standards in the Kovid-19 situation.” Preparations must be made in light of approved guidelines before the school can reopen. Given this situation, in the situation of Kovid-19, it has been requested that the necessary steps be taken to send the school reopening guide to the school level in compliance with public health and hygiene regulations.

The directive, issued to officials from various departments under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, further stated: “All steps of the ministry must be done in the form of posters and brochures and distributed to parents and students.”

Earlier, at a press conference on Sunday, the state minister for primary and mass education said the primary school will not open until the coronavirus situation normalizes. Zakir Hossain.

In response to a question at the press conference, senior ministry secretary Akram Al Hossain said: “It is not possible to say with certainty when it will be possible to open an educational institution in the Corona situation.” Schools will receive an instruction on the harm done to the education of students in Corona. If the situation is normal, the school authorities will try to overcome it by preparing a brief syllabus and taking classes on holidays.

The top secretary said that if the school does not reopen due to the Corona situation, the elementary school will not take the annual exam. It is not known when it will be possible to open an educational institution in the Corona situation. However, the school may open in October and November, and two short programs have been prepared and finalized. Students will be promoted to the next class through class assessment by reading the curriculum in the month that school is open. If the school is not open, it will not be possible to take tests and evaluations.

Akram Al Hossain added: “Many kindergarten schools in Corona may be closed. We have instructed to enroll in government elementary schools that will be in close proximity to those schools. You have been told to be admitted wherever they admit it.
