During the question and answer session in the National Assembly on Wednesday, the head of government of Bangladesh woke up in the morning and gave details of his activities.
Jatiya Party deputy Fakhrul Imam questioned the Prime Minister and said: “After waking up, children look for mothers, young men look for wives, I look for mobile phones.” Seeing that, my mother looked for a broom. What is the Prime Minister looking for?
In response, Sheikh Hasina said, “He asked, what do I find in the morning? I am looking for Jainamaz. I get up in the morning and pray earlier. After prayers, I recite the Qur’an. Then I make myself a cup of tea. I make my own morning tea. I make tea, I make coffee that I make myself. If I have a younger sister, my younger sister and I make the two we got up earlier. Now there are dolls, I have a daughter. The one who wakes up before sleeping does. We eat alone.
“As soon as I get up, I fix it with my own hands. Then I read the book and lately I go out for a walk in the morning after this coronavirus.
“But I do something else now, I know what will happen if I say that again,” said the prime minister, laughing in Parliament. “There is a lake in Ganobhaban, Honorable Speaker. Now when I go for a walk, when I sit on the shore of the lake, I sit with a pole and fish.”
In response to the question, Fakhrul Imam quoted the statement of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and said: “You work. That poor farmer pays for you. That poor worker pays for you. Your family works with that money, I manage with that money. Talk to them, talk to them, they are the owners’, we all know who he is. My question is whether this government still relies on this word. ”
In response, the Prime Minister said: “Inspired by the ideals of the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, we also believe in that. That is why we have learned this way since childhood. My father told me to talk to a rickshaw shooter. The chauffeur of the house must be called sir chauffeur. And those who work can never be called servants, can never be ordered. You have to respect them and ask courteously.
“That’s why I can be Prime Minister, but I still have working girls in my house … if anyone ever has to ask for a glass of water, I eat as much as I can.” But if you want to ask them, can you give me some of this? We bring this lesson. We still adhere to it. That is my father’s teaching. “
Sheikh Hasina said: “Not only he (Bangabandhu) has said that. That teaching has also accompanied us. So in that sense, I think we should all ignore that person if they look poor or don’t wear nice clothes, but they don’t.
“We all have the same respect. Instead, we focus on those who have nothing. “
