After Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jayashankar visited Iran on Tuesday. He arrived in Tehran today to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
At the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further strengthening bilateral relations. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said in a statement that the foreign ministers of the two countries wanted to strengthen ties in all areas. They said both parties were sincere about it.
Jayashankar will leave Tehran for Moscow today. In Russia, he will attend a meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Council. Two Indian ministers visited Iran two days apart.
