Dhaka: Zinnia, a street girl who sells flowers, was rescued seven days after she disappeared from the TSC area of Dhaka University (DU). At that time, a woman named Lupa Talukder was arrested by the Metropolitan Police of Detectives (DB).
On Monday (September 6), the woman was rescued from Narayanganj and detained.
According to the DB, it was initially thought that the girl from Xenia Street had been abducted for illicit purposes. However, the detainee did not admit the matter. Detailed information will be known later if you are questioned extensively.
Mishu Biswas, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of DB Ramna Zonal Team, who led the operation, told banglanews that Zinnia is now healthy and normal. Legal action is being taken against the woman.
According to eyewitnesses after Zinnia’s disappearance, Zinnia was taken from the TSC area of DU by two unidentified women on Tuesday night (September 1). However, the police could not find anyone as all the CCTV cameras in the place were not working.
Zinnia’s mother said that Zinnia ate the stew with two women. Later, her mother told Xenia to sell all the flowers. After a while, Xenia was no longer available.
Students at DU or Anagona focused on TSC are familiar with Zinnia. Zinnia, 9, used to sell flowers and provide money for her mother’s family. After her disappearance, there was a storm of discussions in all places, and the policemen immediately took action. After seven days of continuous efforts by the police, he was rescued in normal and healthy conditions.
