Kishoreganj: In Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj, a malefactor broke into a house and raped a five-year-old girl.
Clashes broke out on Monday morning (September 8) when the issue came to light among the people of the village of Santarpur in the Kadirjungal Upazila union.
Earlier on Sunday (September 8), the boy was raped and taken to a field next to his house.
According to local sources, the boy fell asleep with his parents at home after eating and drinking on Sunday night (September 8) in the Santarpur village of upazila. At midnight, a malefactor broke into the house, picked up the sleeping boy, raped him in the farm field next to the house and left him. Upon hearing the cry of the child, a woman from the village went to the scene and rescued the injured child and took her home. Later, family members admitted the boy to the 250-bed Kishoreganj General Hospital. The boy is currently in treatment there.
Confirming the matter on Monday (September 6) evening, the officer in charge of the Karimganj (OC) police station said. Mominul Islam told banglanews that the police operation continues to arrest the rapist by identifying his identity. Legal action is being taken in this regard.
