Anand opened his forehead selling 43 kg tiger

A huge tiger fish weighing 43 kg has been caught at the mouth of the Padma and Jamuna rivers near the Daulatdia ferry terminal in Rajbari’s upazila Goaland. On Monday, a fisherman named Anand Haldar sold the fish at the Dulal Mandal shipyard in Daulatdia Ghat.

Shajahan Sheikh, a fish trader at Shakil Sohan’s fish market in Daulatdia Ghat, bought the fish from the warehouse at a total price of 49,020 tak per kg at 1,140 tak. Later he sold the fish at Rs 1,300 per kg for Rs 55,900. And Anand Haldar casts a net every day for a month and he catches a lot of small fish, but he has so many big fish today. Anand sold the fish for half a lakh of rupees and was almost overwhelmed with happiness.

Shahjahan Sheikh said that in the morning, when a net was thrown into the mouths of the Padma and Jamuna rivers near the Daulatdia ferry terminal, the huge tiger fish weighing 43 kg was caught in Anand Haldar’s net. In the morning, he brought the fish to sell in the Dulal Mandal yard of Daulatdia Ghat and I bought it for 4,940 rupees at 1,140 rupees per kg. Later, I contacted a merchant in Dhaka by phone and sold it at Tk 1,300 per kg for Tk 55,900.

He added that large fish are now often caught in the river. After buying the fish, he sold it to large traders in different parts of the country by uploading it to Facebook social networks and communicating through mobile phones.
