Titus is digging the ground at 5 points to find the leak.

Narayanganj: Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited is digging dirt in front of and around the mosque to check for a gas pipeline leak in the Narayanganj mosque explosion incident.

Titas authorities began work on Monday (September 6) in the vicinity of the explosion site at a mosque in Fatullah, Narayanganj.

Titus is digging in the ground to test the gas lines to see if there were any leaks in the gas line during the explosion and, if so, how much gas was emitted. At that time senior Titus officials were present.

Mofizul Islam, deputy general manager (DGM) of Titas’ office in Narayanganj, said that no one had noticed our gas leak. There is no record that we are not working after receiving the notice.

There are reports that such incidents have occurred due to a gas leak, the gas lines are being tested to verify this.

Earlier on Friday (September 4) at 9:15 pm, the blast took place in the Baitus Salat Jame mosque in the western part of Fatullah in Narayanganj. After that, 36 burned people were admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery. A total of 26 of them have died so far. The condition of the rest of the faithful is also alarming.
