Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam sold construction materials at a cash auction to illegally occupy sidewalks on a road in Gulshan, the capital.
Mayor Atik went out into the countryside around 9 a.m. Monday to rescue the evicted people, including the roads and sidewalks of the DNCC area. Around 9.15am, Mayor Md. Showed up with a mobile team at Gulshan-2 Road No.6. Atiqul Islam.

Abdul Hamid Mia, the DNCC’s director of revenue, first called an auction because he couldn’t find anyone to take care of the building under construction. He was also fined Taka 25,000 for placing rebar on the pavement.
Subsequently, all the goods, including the pavement rods, were auctioned for cash and five people participated. Mahmud Mollah bought all the rebars and rebar cutting machines for 49,000 rupees. He also paid another 6,000 taka for taxes and VAT.
Mayor Atiq told reporters at the time: “We have repeatedly warned. No one listened. Everyone has created misery in their own way. So from now on all irregularities will be solved by fines. No one will be exempt. Please be kind to those who still pursue their own interests creating misery. “
He said: ‘I have to represent 3.2 million voters. I will not tolerate the suffering suffered by my citizens. From now on, I will monitor them strictly in the interests of the citizens.
