BNP MP Harunur Rashid said, our country is a country of mosques. It is sad that people are not safe in the mosque today. There must be a proper investigation to determine if it is a national and international conspiracy. I would like to ask the leader of Parliament to attach the utmost importance to this issue.

Deputy Harunur Rashid said this at the National Assembly session on Sunday.

Harunur Rashid said that there is an interior minister here who is an expert on this matter. I think it will give them responsibility in this matter. As a result, accurate information about this incident will come out. I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families of those who have passed away, and I ask the state to support them.

The deputy said Israfil, a member of the northern parliament, had died a few days ago. I had acquaintances and personal contacts with him. We do not know when or where Allah will cause death, Honorable Speaker. That is why we must all be aware and vigilant. And I pray for the forgiveness of the souls of those who have passed away and extend my deepest condolences to all the personalities who have been lost among us.

The attacker struck shortly after noon in front of the Baitus Salat Jame mosque in the western part of Fatullah. So far, 24 faithful have died in it. The bodies of 23 people were handed over to their families until Sunday morning. In addition, 13 people are undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery in critical condition.
