The retired Major Sinha said. Four police officers charged in the Rashed Khan murder case have been in pre-trial detention for four days in the second phase.
They were taken to the Sadar District Hospital from the district jail at 11 a.m. Sunday for a physical exam. After that, they were taken to the RAB-15 Cox’s Bazar camp for questioning.
They are Deputy Inspector Liton Mia, Agent Safanur Karim, Kamal Hossain and Abdullah Al Mamun.

Senior RACB Khairul Islam, who is investigating the case, said the second round of pretrial detention was requested on August 24 to further question members of the police. The court granted a preventive detention of four days. In this sense, they have been sent today.
Previously, three other members of the police, OC Pradeep, Inspector Liaquat and ASI Nandadulal, were sent to pretrial detention for questioning. Among them, Pradeep was held in pre-trial detention for 15 days in four phases and Liaquat and Nandadulal Rakshit for 14 days in three phases.
Although Liaquat and Nandadulal made confessional statements under section 164, Pradeep disagreed. Now they are all in jail. So far, eight people, including three members of the APBN, have made confessional statements.
