State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain also said that members of the Ansar Battalion would be deployed to protect the official UN residence in the next week.
Speaking to UNO in various upazilas on Friday, it emerged that four Ansar members were on duty in their homes after the attack on UNO in Ghoraghat. However, Ansar had never been a member of his security before. Mostafa Kamal Uddin, Senior Secretary of the Interior Ministry’s Public Security Department, and Major General Mizanur Rahman Shamim, Director General of Ansar and the Village Defense Forces, did not respond to calls to find out how many Ansars have been deployed in upazila.
