The 3rd anniversary of the founding of the Narail Express Foundation has been celebrated. On this occasion, on Friday (September 4) at 11 am a discussion and cake cutting meeting was held at Sharif Abdul Hakim Diabetic and Thyro Care Center. In addition to officials from the Narail Express Foundation, eminent personalities from the area were also present on the occasion.
At the event, it was announced that a 10-bed specialty hospital would be built with the money from the auction of Mashrafe’s favorite bracelets, which was auctioned a few days ago. The announcement was made by Tariqur Islam Anik, general secretary of the Narail Express Foundation. Mashrafe’s father, Golam Murtaza, advisor to the Narail Express Foundation, was present on the occasion. He announced that Mashrafe’s shirt had already been sold at auction, to be worn at the hospital.
The Narail Express Foundation announced that a portion of the sale of bracelets used by Mashrafe bin Murtaza worth Tk 42 lakh has been given to various organizations working in Dhaka, Rangpur and Corona. The remainder of Tk 25 lakh and a similar 10-bed specialized hospital will be built with similar funds from some local charities. Where health services will be provided to the general public at low cost in the presence of specialist doctors 24 hours a day. The hospital is awaiting government approval. Once approved, construction works will begin.
According to Mashrafe’s announcement, the Vidyananda Foundation working in Corona, in addition to the Bangabandhu Squad, has been spent on the welfare of distraught players and defenseless people. The rest of the money from the bracelet and the sale of the shirt will be used to build the hospital. The Narail Express Foundation Vice President and Narail Press Club General Secretary Shamimul Islam chaired the function. Former deputy and leader of the Awami League, defender Saif Hafizur Rahman Khokon, president of Specta Hexra Group, Md Akramuzzamanu, director of the same group, Md. Official lawyer Rezaul Khabir Raju and others.
