The Vice President of the Dhaka Dhamrai Upazila Press Club, Julhas Hossain, 35, was hacked to death. He was working as a Representative for Dhamrai Upazila of Vijay TV. The incident took place in the Barobaria area of ​​Dhamrai on Thursday afternoon.

The matter has been confirmed by the police officer in charge of Dhamrai (OC) Deepak Chandra Saheb. He said: ‘The locals arrested the two criminals and handed them over to the police. Weapons were also found in his possession.

Witnesses said that when Dhamrai went to the Barobaria area to work as a family, a group of criminals attacked him. At that point, the locals came forward and handed them over to the police.

Witnesses said the journalist was hit with a sharp weapon. When Julhas Hossain was transferred to the emergency department of the Manikganj District Hospital near Dhamrai Upazila in critical condition, the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Muhammad Arifur Rahman, a doctor in the hospital’s emergency department, said: “Some people took a man named Julhas to the emergency department of the Manikganj district hospital with blood. We’ve experimented. He died before being transferred to the hospital. There are stab wound marks on different parts of his body.

Babul Hossain, former secretary general of the Dhamrai Press Club, said they went to the Manikganj district hospital after learning about the murder of his colleague Julhase through a mobile phone. However, he could not say anything clear about Julhas’s murder.

Additional Police Superintendent Bhaskar Saha of Manikganj Sadar Circle said he learned of the matter on his mobile phone. Detailed consultations are underway.

Dhaka District Additional Police Superintendent Saidur Rahman said: “The two detainees are being questioned. Initial questioning revealed that he had been brutally murdered over a family dispute.
