Although ordinary tourists receive a ‘T’ visa, people from Tabligh or other religions who come to Bangladesh for religious tourism receive an ‘M’ visa. The ‘R’ visa is issued to foreigners coming for research, internship or training at any institution approved by the government of Bangladesh.
